How to work with Smear, Smudge, or Blend Colors In

• Smearing produces a similar effect to drag your finger across the wet paint.

• Smudging has the same effect as rubbing your finger across a pastel drawing.

• Blending softens the transition between colors or hard edges.

Step 1

Use the Object Picker tool to select an object or the background image.

Step 2

After that click the Effect tool at the Brush tools fly-out.

Step 3

And then choose smear, smudge or blend from the Effect tool picker.

Step 4

Finally, choose a brush and drag it to the image window.
